Passing through the layers of skin, the laser beam is absorbed by the tattoo ink only, breaking apart the ink into microscopic particles so small, they are absorbed and removed by your body’s immune system.
With precision we can target partial areas of your tattoo, provide lightening for cover-ups or working towards complete removal, leaving your skin clear.
Your comfort is our priority and we aim to remove the pain from your treatments using an optimized skin cooling system. We utilise the Zimmer Cyro system, that cools the area during treatment with a stream of chilled air up to -30 degrees Celsius.
Laser-Skin Interaction
During a tattoo removal procedure, laser light is applied to the tattooed area of the skin. The light is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, leaving the surrounding skin tissue and chromophores unharmed.
The tattoo ink particles absorb the laser energy, heat up, and shatter into smaller ink particles.
In the days and weeks following a laser treatment, the body’s immune system flushes away the shattered ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade. Over a series of treatments, more and more of the ink shatters, leaving the skin free of ink.

Clinical Director: Ian Sheppard
With a long and innovative career in laser and light delivery systems and some 29 years’ experience in the UK and US, Omega Laser Aesthetic’s Clinical Director Ian Sheppard has helped develop Laser and LED-based light systems for use in photo dynamic therapy, wound healing and pain management.
Ian worked with the New York Giant’s football Physio Treatment team for their play off seasons in 1993/94 and for the subsequent NFL playoffs.
A fully qualified VHCT trained laser technician, Ian continued his professional development at the University of Manchester School of Physics and Astronomy ensuring he now has the very best quality laser, laser treatments and techniques to offer his clients.
